CYCLING - «Akamas Mountainbike Challenge»

The organizers Bikin'Cyprus Events Management and co-organizers Arena Sports, promise to offer an all- round event in the Akamas peninsula, with two days of mountainbike tours and excursions and two days full of adrenaline with cycling races.

THE MTB EVENTS

«Akamas Mountainbike Challenge» is an event of “Cycling for All” category, open to participation from everyone who love sports and nature, organized with the aim of highlighting Akamas as an area where one can cycle and enjoy its natural beauty.  The biking courses of the event are specially selected and enriched with variability in the landscape so that participants can enjoy the absolute beauty of Akamas . From the blue colour of the sea to the green mountains and the panoramic views from various points in the mountainbike courses, the participants will experience beauty across Akamas peninsula, with the most environmentally friendly means of transport, the bike.

The event starts with a distance of 40km on Saturday 06 September and on Sunday 07 September the final race where you will pre-register for one of the 3 different routes with varying degrees of difficulty so that everybody who loves nature and sports gets the opportunity to take part and complete the race. The Long distance is 59km, the Middle distance 34km and the Short distance 22km. Get your combined timing of both days and enjoy the rest of the day with a coctail lunch at the Coral Beach Hotel where all award ceremonies will be held.

FUN ACTIVITIES AND TOURS

If your adrenaline for more adventure is high, then also take advantage if the two cycling tours during the week in Paphos (60km) and Troodos Mountains (30km) combining it as an excursion with your family and friends. Please note that, in the case of lack of interest, the tours might be cancelled. Pre-registration is required.

05 September 2014 - Troodos Tour - 30km

Troodos Square - Troodos - Platres

Transfer to Troodos Mountains from Coral beach hotel and enjoy the day in the green heart of the island.
